Moore Reservoir is Moore Fun!
The blind two day at
Moore Reservoir, while a difficult bite will go down as a success. All
anglers eventually caught fish and Sunday actually ended up being the
tougher of the two days. The water was stirred up from all of the
recent rain which made fishing tough, but everyone eventually figured
out some sort of pattern. Small fish were found in great quantities,
while quality fish remained tough to find. That's not to say the lake
lacks big fish. On the contrary, there were three smallmouth caught
that eached weighed just under 4 pounds. The biggest fish of the
weekend was a last minute fish caught by John Peterson that made his
weekend, a 5.5 pound smallmouth! One hell of a fish! No one should be
surprised that the wire to wire winner of the event was none other than
current points leader Bruce Jones. Bruce is distancing himself from the
field with a 5 point lead and could walk away with Mr. Bass with a
decent showing at Bow. Danny gained a little ground in the race by
edging out Roger for second place.
